What makes you want to keep on searching?

I’ve been asking myself this for a while. No matter how hopeless it seems, no matter how many times I tell myself that I’d be happier if I stopped seeking a partner, I always find myself on the search again. Does anyone else relate to this? If so, then what are your thoughts on the matter?
