My family always has a Christmas fruit cake every year, and its been years since ive had one myself. I'll definitely make this again next year.♡

I wish i had more photos, but not long after I made it. I had to go to work. As soon as I got back. It was gone. My family destroyed it. Said it was too good.

In about a year, I will have been vegan for exactly 10 years, for about a third of my life, and so, I've been trying to think about how the whole experience felt.

I've been thinking of the concept of Vystopia, a term coined by the psychologist Clare Mann, and referring to the anguish of living as a vegan in a non-vegan world where the norms, what's perceived as normal, and the whole system tends to dismiss this philosophy.

My first years as a vegan were definitely defined by this kind of anguish and sorrow, because of how common it is to meet people that know Exactly the harm, the pain and the damage their habits cause to animals, to the planet and future generations, and yet, will just not change.
Feeling less connected to friends and family is quite common among new vegans, and it is a strange punishment to be made fun of and ridiculed for caring about diminishing unnecessary suffering in the world.

I do understand how bad of an impact this can have on one's mental health, and the world does tend to actively misunderstand, oversimplify and make a strawman out of veganism. Too often it is viewed simply as a dietary choice, a posh trend or a healthy lifestyle rather than a sincere attempt at navigating life with the knowledge that a tremendous amount of sentient beings (humans included) do suffer/are created to suffer from our actions, our habits and our norms, in spite of most people actually hating the idea of harming animals.

Since these first years, the anguish got less overwhelming, probably in part because I got to meet a small bubble of like-minded amazing individuals through activism, but the feeling of being out of place in most daily contexts subsists. 
Life isn't quite one of those tales with a neat happy ending resolution at the end. It's always ongoing, and although one can't control the future, one can always affect their immediate surroundings and hope for the best.

So, from one vegan to another, if you had the patience to read through all my paragraphs, just know that I am really glad there's people like you in this world, people willing to change their way of life if they learn they are misaligned with their values.

Y'all are very precious, and I hope the people around you get to notice it more 💚🌱✨

Chilli basil stir fry !!!

After making a promise to @Sabs, only 4 months later I could make a fully vegan dish, I used vegan mozzarella and all the rest are veggies. Embrace the vegan pizza (actually it could had be done without mozzarella, but I wanted to try the vegan one). It was super fluffy like a cloud 💕

I've been vegan from 2020 during lockdown...and Iam observing that I have some of the symptoms of low vitamin B12 like mouth redness...is there any vegan foods to maintain normal B12 levels

Normal doesn't mean it's healthy or ideal, it just means most people in this time space reality behave like that.
