Having an engineering degree

It's not like the fancy world I pictured when I was studying engineering at uni. I would have thought the world is going to need all those complex mathematical equations to keep running in harmony. But now it doesn't seem like what I believed. In fact, I just realised that those were just some models from our understanding of the world. Not that the world needs those equation to run. Just feeling a bit useless with a degree in my hand!
