Emmerich Hanus was an Austrian artist born in Vienna, Austria in 1922. Hanus was a painter and printmaker known for his abstract, expressionist paintings depicting landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes. Hanus studied at the College of Applied Arts in Vienna before moving to the United States in 1949.
