Brad Soderberg is an American basketball coach born on June 11, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri. After completing his education at Kansas State University, Soderberg began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater from 1982 to 1986. He then moved on to coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, from 1986 to 1988, before returning to Kansas State as an assistant from 1988 to 1992. Soderberg's successful stints as an assistant coach laid the foundation for his future roles as a head coach. In 1992, Soderberg was given the opportunity to become the head coach at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. During his tenure, he quickly made an impact by leading the team to a Division III national championship in just his second season. Following his departure from Loras College, Soderberg took on the role of associate head coach under then-head coach Lorenzo Romar at Saint Louis University. This marked his return to his hometown, St. Louis, where he helped guide the Billikens to several successful seasons, including three consecutive postseason tournament appearances. Soderberg's experience and expertise contributed greatly to the development of the basketball program during his time at St. Louis University.
