There are 3 types of companies in Japan. One is Black company where you will get loads of work and you won't even be paid for overtime, and it does not follow government rules. Second is Grey Company where the company finds loop holes in laws and make you work overtime, if not in office but at the home. Last is the white companies which works and follows government rules , and work culture is very positive here. Most of the companies in Japan are black and grey which constitutes more than 85-90% of the companies and rest are the white companies. I am currently giving an interview for a Japan based company, so hence researched a bit about it.
