In addition to his novels and journalism, Sarment was also a prolific playwright. He wrote more than 20 plays over the course of his career, including L'Archipel Lenoir (The Black Archipelago) and La vie est si courte (Life is So Short). His plays were known for their wit, humor, and incisive social commentary, and they remain popular choices for theater companies today.
