I’ve always liked studio Ghibli movies but my younger sister (23) has made me appreciate them even more. My favorite is Kiki’s Delivery Service. Obviously, being a cat person myself. Anyone else a fan of Ghibli/Miyazaki? (edited)

By the way it’s a myth that drinking tons of milk makes you grow tall. Lactobacillus is only good for your digestive system and your immune system, there’s only a low correlation with vertical height. So in this episode there’s a police officer stranded on top of Tokyo Tower 🗼 with a kid and he said that this tower is made entirely of scrap metal from tanks. He’s wrong. Only about 1/3 of Tokyo Tower is made from recycled tanks from the Korean War. Gotta get your facts straight anime 🙄
I like when anime turns into infotainment but if they say something that isn’t scientifically or historically accurate it sort of gets lost in the animation 😓

So apparently this police officer is rich 🤑 enough that she has her own estate complete with paintball training range. Meanwhile I need to buy a new lawnmower because ours finally broke today and it’s almost 20 years old so it’s not worth repairing 😓
I’m looking at 2 Makita models right now. One of them is affordable, compact and runs on batteries so it’s environmentally friendly. The other one has more power and runtime but costs twice as much, it would also be a tight squeeze to fit in our shed. I should go outside and measure the shed... read more
