Growing Up With Anime

Even though I'd considered myself still young I have a ton of experience with anime having consumed the genre since birth due to my pops being an avid fan. Getting to the point I feel like anime doesn't hit the same anymore. I used to be able to watch any random piece of media and at least enjoy it for being anime now, I'd run through dozens of 12 episode shows happy as can be. Now I'm hard pressed to be satisfied by or even willing to watch most shows & I often find myself wishing to find more shows like the ones I saw when I was younger like Basilisk, Mushi-Shi, or Wolf's Rain. Only really being able to stratch that anime itch by revisiting past shows. 😭💔 Has anyone else feel like they've reached that point in their anime journey?
