Chess. A timeless masterpiece of a game with simple rules and surprisingly deep emergent gameplay. It's a perfect time sink for either slow days indoors or outdoor hustles. It can also act as a bonding ritual you can share with a friend or someone special.
For me, the fun part about chess is not just winning, it's striking a conversation with my opponent as the game unfolds. This can reveal a lot more about the person than some simple "What do you do in your free time" can do.

Sick lazy chess lost my Queen 💀

Went to the tavern where the owner is a friend of mine. Surprisingly he wasn't working that day, so we could finally have a round of chess. I seldom play, but I enjoy it every time. Managed a stalemate against him and another stalemate against someone else. Drunk chess is something else.

Edit: I love mead, though I drink it without water. Don't do that if you're not Romanian or Russian.
