Exciting endgame

Rg6+ Kh8, Rb6 axRb6, a7 Rxh6, a=Qa8+ Imagine trading everything until you have a rook and two pawns each. Obviously white has winning position, but a blunder would waste everything you've made to get here. You didn't come this far only to reach this far right?

Why not RxNg8+?

I admit I couldn't figure this puzzle out but Sundays puzzles are the most difficult. I don't know why a queen sacrifice was needed when rook sacrifice suffices? I thought RxNg8+ but it's actually: QxNg8+ NxQg8, Rf7 Qxc5, Rh7# Here, Rf7 guards f8 to prevent Qf8+ winning QxRg7
