Always enjoy the decaling the most after the build. Such a easy way to spice a build up. Holo decals make it even nicer.

I have finally built Gat-x105 Aile Strike gundam!

I finished this MS-06F Zaku II F-Type today. Piloted by Captain Iria Solari, Red Wolf Squadron, 1st Mobile Suit Company, 7th Battalion.

This was my first time painting a model. I used Posca acrylic paint pens, a Micron inking pen, a paintbrush, and cotton swabs to do it all. I love working with the paint pens! This was really fun to build. Now I want to go back and paint my other ones, haha.

And I say that with all the love I can muster : this movie was not good 😐 
Gundam Seed is the very first Gundam show I've ever watched (except for those 3 episodes of Wing I saw when I was 10), so it holds a special place in my heart. I've always known the Fandom is very hard on this entry because of the characters and their portrayal : too young, too emo, cry babies etc But in this movie, those traits are dialed to the max, it's so cringe. Story is average. The fight scenes and overall CGI Gundam are a bit of a miss, I don't think full CG Gundam are a good thing. Fights are very difficult to read sometime. The only redeeming quality of the movie is the soundtrack, because it featured some bangers from the OG TM Revolution and that put a giant smile on my face.

Wow talk about a huuuuge let down. You'd think that an animated 3D show of Gundam by Netflix could only be a winner, boy was I mistaken. The animation is really bad, it's the exact same level as Final Fantasy Spirits Within, a movie that came out 23 years ago ! The dialogue, characters and voice acting, both JP and ENG are horrendous. Action scenes are mediocre at best. I need a palate cleanser, gonna go rewatch those 2 minutes of Gundam fight in Ready Player One 😭

This is the original NG Gundam Aesculapius from 1997, alongside it's updated and redesigned version from 2022.

It's amazing to see how much has been improved across the board. The part separation, the detailing, the articulation, the stability, the gimmicks... This is how you do a HD remaster!
