I was planning on going hiking this weekend but the weather forecast is predicting thunderstorms

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of leaving my phone in the car and just… walking. No destination pressure, no notifications… just my boots, the trees, and whatever thoughts decide to show up.

My favorite thing is finding a spot halfway up to just sit and listen. No music. No talking. Just wind and birds.

Drove out to Cle Elum last weekend. No fog. No clouds playing games. Just blue sky, golden hills, and mountains that didn't hide behind the treeline.

The trail wound high through the trees… quiet enough to hear my own footsteps, with these gorgeous views opening up between the branches. Felt like being in a lookout tower without the stairs.

I just spent my first two days in Slovakia hiking in the High Tatras. Absolutely gorgeous place! The higher elevation trails were still closed unfortunately, but even so I enjoyed my time here very much 😊

A couple of weeks ago, the weather decided to actually behave… sunny, warm, no jacket required. So I headed to Green River.

People were jumping off rocks, lounging in the sun, and acting like summer had already arrived. (I stayed mostly dry. Mostly.)

Nothing beats a trail that ends with a place to cool off and a bunch of strangers smiling because the sun is out.

Where’s your go-to “weather’s finally nice” spot? I need more of this energy 🥾☀️
