Ha ha….  Or for my North American friends a 10km  hike.  I went for an adventure today down to the firetrail behind my house.  After I took off I had this thought to walk to the water fall a bit further on.  A while later I realise it was a lot longer to get to the waterfall then I remembered.  35 degrees and my shirt now wet like I’d gone for a swim in my clothes, I realised I didn’t bring enough water and decided to turn back and come prepared another day.  On my way back I took a video of the creek crossing, it’s so beautiful down in the valley behind my house.

Accidental 10km Bushwalk.

For my birthday.  My dad says he thinks he remembered taking me up to Yosemite when i was young, but I don't remember it.  Trees and the sun have always felt like kin, so to get to be amongst my oldest kin makes me excited.  I am doing research on where to go,  and exactly what I'll need so that we're prepared.  Luckily i have months before my birthday to get everything planned and ready.  I stopped expecting others to do something for my birthday years ago, i love taking the reins and doing exactly what i want to do.  A beach day was my special treat for years for my birthday, and i miss it,  but beach days will be a regular thing,  so now i need a different treat.

Feels so good to get my body moving with pilates and hiking. I feel alive,  love the soreness i feel,  building my stamina to keep up with my youngest. I don't want to be a hermit so much anymore,  only like 33 percent of the time, i want to be in the elements, feel universally connected,  the wind in my face and the ocean at my feet. Games and books and movies don't give that rush i get from reality anymore.  

I'm grateful i get bored quickly,  so even when I'm in a slump, that gets boring and i have to push myself out. My spiritual connection with nature had a hard start with me living in an overpopulated city, but the beach being local,  is such a blessing
