Sunset always!

Met these 3 friends from Rajasthan, they've been friends since childhood. After college, due to responsibilities and work they lost touch and later after years decided to take time off and go on a trek. It was really nice to talk with them and listen to their stories. The moment was so perfect that I asked them to look in the sun's direction as it sets. And I took their photos.

These red flowers have healing properties, the one's which grow from 6000 ft to 9000 ft are edible but beyond that it becomes poisonous. As you go higher the colour of flower changes from bright red to pink and later on purple and white beyond 11000 ft. The change in colour tell use the toxic nature of plant. Rhodos have over 1024 species ranging from herb, shrubs to large trees in Nepal.

Himalayan Monal, also known as a Lophophorus impejanus is state bird of Uttrakhand. Its quite a rare sight these days. Best time to see them is in early winter mornings.

We don't say summit push is the hardest but its the most enjoyable, breathtaking, meditative and life transforming experience one can go through.

The stretch you see in the picture might seems very close but for many people it take almost an hour to reach their. This photo I took back when I was trekking with this lady from Pune. She was in her mid 30's and almost gave up in between and became breathless. I asked her "Is this comes under top 3 hardest things she's done in her life?" She said 'yes'. I asked her if she makes to the top who'll be proud. To this she said "My daughter and my younger self will be damn proud if I make it to the top." After some further introspection something changed and she was able to reach to the top. She just bowed down and cried tears of joy. She gave me a hug and said "I never believed that I'll be able to do it." This was a story of resilience and will power. Sometimes incidents like these makes me wonder what are we as a human capable of.
