Hints & Tips for a newbie?

So I've only recently started kayaking, but I think I love it. I've got an inflatable because I don't have an easy way to store or transport a rigid thing. I've not got any fancy gear other than a dry bag. What do I neeeeeed and any pro tips anyone has learnt along the way?
