Got up at 4 am today 😅🧡, was on my way before 5 am. The one and only reason I happily get up this early is a planned trip with my kayak club. The first pic is from the bike lane, approaching the marina. The second pic is already from my kayak, paddling to the Seal Islands.

I went on a lap around a stunning lake. Unfortunately, I had a terrible paddling partner that wouldn't cooperate and it was kind of terrible, we couldn't get the kayak to run straight to save our lives... But I think I still want to give it another short, maybe just a one on one lesson this time

This awesome island is in the middle of Shuswap Lake, 2 km paddle on the canoe to it, 2+km hiking trail on the island, cliff-jumping and swimming. Add in another 10km of lake paddling and it was a fantastic day! (edited)
