A day of steam with my dad and brother

A once in a lifetime steam train journey for my dad. The special service started at Waterloo Station in London travelling down the mainline to a place called Exeter of the south western region of England. My dad used to work on the railways as a signalman in the days of steam and still has the passion for them. It is the first time he has travelled on the train at quite literally full steam. We went as fast as 75mph and he was loving it. Most steam trains in his experience have been on the slower preserved railways. The sad thing is that the place he wanted to see where he worked in a signal box was near the end of the line, near Clapham Junction which was under cover of darkness and being London, probably was removed. His eyesight isn't so good either and the train was going so fast, even if we had more light, I doubt he'd pick it out so well.
