I wanted to know what people think about photography, why did they pursue it and why?

What do u think of life and how you perceive it should be the answer.....only difference between an artist and common civilian is how they perceive world...common civilians don't have any issue with monotonous nature of life hence they perceive world as it is... whereas artist paints and perceive world through their own colour pallet or perception.... Also movies?who doesn't love movies..?movies are just many photographs tied together in a motion form. (edited)

Just because it can capture a moment.. you can see what I was seeing..

I was fascinated with photos as a kid, both viewing and taking. Any camera I could get my hands on, from using my parents and siblings cameras to toy/single use cameras. It became a passion as I grew up and eventually a part of one of my degrees. So it's been a big part of my life for around 40 of my 45yrs. When you take a photo, you're capturing a moment of time that will never happen again.
