A Dubai photographer spent 10 years searching for a black lion considered a myth. Using drones and thermal imaging, he explored tens of thousands of kilometers of Africa until, in 2025, the sensors failed to detect an elusive "shadow" in the reserve – the first confirmation of a melanistic lion

The "Black Ghost," exiled from the pride by the Okasa, survived alone, hunting only at night. His unique mutation (1 in 15 million individuals) makes daytime life impossible, but the lion has reached an impressive size of 120 cm at the withers and a weight of 220 kg.

Virgo Galactic Supercluster

It's Galaxy Season. This is an image I took with my new ZWO Seestar S30 Pro of the Virgo Galactic Supercluster. Unfortunately, clouds moved in and cut the imaging short. The Great Orion Nebula

Got to a dark sky site for a nice clear evening of imaging. Glad to say my image processing has gotten a little better. Can't wait for Orion and some of the other winter Deep Sky Objects to be in better position!

I'm glad to be alive in this day of age.

These images were taken by Hubble, and JWST is appox 100 times more powerful due to new imaging equipment, it's location and temperature, and mirror that's 6x larger in surface area. It's going to be insane!🤯😵‍💫
