This is actually a creek named Lost Creek. In Colorado. It disappears underground and reappears here. Edit: Actually, this is where it disappears. This is a higher elevation than where Lost Creek reappears. (edited)

Near Climax, CO

Pond or Lake

Went exploring with my youngest niece on our bikes, found this beautiful body of water. She asked me a question that, unusually, I didn't know the answer to. When does a pond become a lake? What is the difference? (edited)

Pawnee Buttes, CO

The one on the right is fun to scramble up and has a lot of narrow chalk canyons around it. Both buttes are mostly chalk, and I mean literal chalk like teachers (used to) use. You'll return to camp covered in white dust. (edited)

Trying to find beauty

Seeing as I don't feel I have any in my life, I look for it wherever I go. So on my cycle exploration with my youngest niece yesterday, I tried to record some of what we found.

Actually, it was used to transport ammunition & parts to the sea artillery at the top. Koko Head, Oahu. This is a fantastic daily trail to stay in shape.
