I completed my first marathon last year. It was a lot of fun. I plan to try a running ine in the next year or two. Are there any other heterosexual fitness nerds out there?

My gym fail

I rarely train these days, so when I decide to train, I make sure I train both upper and lower. I deload the weight when lifting and I go to the physiotherapist once a month since August 2025.

Now my glutes aren’t as strong as a few months ago, but at least I still have glutes lol.

I’m still thinking about getting a new personal record in deadlifts, but nah… I think it would take a lot of time, and there’s so much struggle I would need to face too 😅

Im new to lifting weights at the gym and that area still kind of intimidates me - which is so unnecessary, I know, but I survived 2 of my random fears/weird encounters today! First I saw someone I knew from college, which felt weird for whatever reason (it's silly, I know haha). And then I noticed this guy was staring at me while I was doing one of my sets and it just made me feel so self conscious. 

It's funny how those feelings can come up - Im used to doing cardio at the gym and would be too intimidated to use the workout room for those very reasons. I feel like I ripped off a silly little bandaid 😂proud of myself for getting more comfortable in the weight room area!!

I try to build my back while having a legs injury, so its a win-win solutions, lmao! 👉🏽👈🏽

Ps. I'm still training legs but isnt that intense as previously

My skinny legs pressing my chest really hurt. I need a flat board in-between to spread force over a larger surface area. Crossing my arms over my chest does help significantly, but I wonder if this has contributed to any of the chronic arm injuries? I just get completely distracted trying to complete the rep. At least i added the 27th 20kg plate today.

Cardio. Been doing cardio every single day for a whole month. Ranging from 30 to 1hr 30 mins each day. My lowest being 23 my highest ever being 1 hr and 45 mins. I’m actually impressed with myself for once, for being consistent and not giving up like I usually do!! AHH!! cheers to me for breaking my high score of 3 weeks as well. Here’s to a full month and hopefully, many more ❤️

Finally I broke the 10k barrier.
I was planning 5k but then was like you whaz lets run to the next bridge, and then to the next. And then I was like ok no mather what I still need to finish 10k to get home. Might as well run 😅

I was nervous about trying for a new PR after failing last fortnight. But surprisingly I got the 167.5kg PR so easy! Usually the first set completely wipes me out so I was ready to go home after one set. Then I thought I should go crazy and try for a 2nd PR of 170kg 😁 Who would've guessed I got a double PR in the same session 😍.

Any people out there play pickleball. Today was fantastic for it ans I had a great time, looking for a crew to roll with.

Can't lie to myself anymore, left middle knuckle has been broken the past week. I tried dropping the weight to 20kg and the pain runs through the carpal bones, I just can't grip the roller handle even with false grip. 

On the brighter side, my right is steadily getting stronger 💪. I just hope I don't become like a crab because of being unable to train my left.
