I'm too damn kind for my own good. I should just tell people the unfiltered truth when they ask for my opinions on things but I take the time to smooth things over and search for positives. At my own expense. I'm exhausted and annoyed but I'm trying my best. How do I stop constantly trying my best?

Some people genuinely don't even deserve my best but here I am! For what?! There's no prize for going above and beyond. Just ingratitude and a blank face.
