Not sure how i like it yet. Its running ArkOS 2.0 so could use an upgrade. The SD card has thousands of roms, a lot dont show up in the system, or at least i cant see them in the menus. Anyone else got one? What do you think about it?

The Haul of the Day

Took a break from moving to teach my kid some real games. Rampage & Ivan Stewart Off Road Racer was my jam back in the day. The TMNT & Double Dragon arcade was off limits as its in an area they host private events at, and one was happening today.

Road Trip Arcade Edition

Recently swooped one off ebay with disk drive and OG boxes. Picked up some accessories like a floppy emulator & SCART cable. But it doesn't have a c-sync currently so I can only use mono lol

I have the components (few diodes, transistors, resistors) to add in the necessary circuit...but fully lack the motivation currently 😬

Demosplash is one of the largest and longest-running demoparties in North America, catering both to newcomers to the demoscene as well as established artists. They show demos live on original hardware as much as humanly possible, offering a viewing experience that can't be matched by emulators or recordings. In addition to screenings, they feature a variety of events, including tech talks, workshops, and celebrations of retro gaming.

There is also a whole roomful of retro gaming computers (Sharp X68000, Apple ][, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Amiga, NES, and much much more) for anyone who wants to take a break from the demos or talks and play some video games! There are also competitions for modern and retro tech with cash prizes, talks & classes by experts in the field, and so much more.

I will be there on Saturday representing CVGM Radio (a retro/modern videogame/demoscene music radio station) and catching up with fellow demoscene folk, so come check it out if you are in the area and have some fun! FishGuy876/Brainstorm

This is the first video game I ever played. Fond memories of playing it with my Dad on our black and white Zenith TV when I was about 2. Bought this identical one off eBay in good condition. One paddle potentiometer needed internal repair, and I still need to replace a couple 50 year old electrolytic capacitors, but it works. Next: add internal circuitry to replace the useless RF-channel-3/4 output with a proper 75 Ohm composite video output, for easier and clearer connection to a modern display.

The line "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" is a famous quote from the movie Blade Runner, specifically spoken by the character Roy Batty in the "Tears in Rain" monologue. The full quote continues, "Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die,"
Context: In Blade Runner, Roy Batty is a Replicant, an artificially created human, who is nearing the end of his programmed lifespan. He's been hunted by a "blade runner," a special police officer tasked with eliminating rogue Replicants.
This is by far my favorite sci-fi movie, and it was released the year I was born.

Just got my new Pokemon Red in the mail and I’m playing it on my modded Gameboy Advance SP. Never got to play this game before but I’ve always wanted too. I played all the Pokemon games in the DS era and up but nothing like this. It looks awesome. My favorite Pokemon game would probably be Pokemon Diamond because one of the starters is my all time favorite and the legendary itself as well.
