A friend asked me my birth date and I replied back by saying that I do not celebrate human festivities. 

It then struck me why. 

The humans on this earth are so self obsessed that we celebrate everything human ( and our pets)  

But have we celebrated the birth date of a mountain or a river? 
Can we ?  
Were we there ?   
Will we be there for its last birth date ? 
NO NEVER

Standing at the banks of a river or the foot of a mountain,  when one bows down to it in reverence,  one celebrates its presence in our life. 

We may not know its birthday, but we worship its presence and its wisdom. Ancient civilizations did this and taught us this. 

But we forgot. We got self obsessed. Commercial. Material. Narrow minded and narcissistic. 

This year celebrate a river or a mountain or a bird or a plant. Before you think of your birthday.
