If that is a tee shirt your welding in and arm protection that stops to the elbow. You need to cover all your skin facing the welding area. Otherwise you will get Rayburn before you know it.the arc is pure ultra violet. Also it looks like there is no ventilation or extraction. This is also an industry standard safety practice for any weld because of the gasses that can come off. Also if the gloves or overalls were given to you by a training place please make sure they are fireproof. Dont rely on what they give you. I was a fabricator / welder for over a decade and wasnt given a fireproof boiler suit when I was getting trained. Good luck with the MMA welding but please cover those upper arms if they are not. Also moving across the peice is much easier than moving towards yourself. Little tip is also before you start get your body position right and get your hand position. Without striking the arc trace the movement to make sure your balanced ;) (edited)
