Crazy night

SNOWGASM!!!

Anyone around the Pittsburgh area have to do any special prep for the expected white hell we're up against tonight? Personally, my apartment building has boiler heat, so were the power to go out I think we're okay here. Food stocked, bottle of whiskey at the ready, and Cat in my lap. 😹

Boiler: Limp Bizkit

This song resonates with alot of men. It makes me wish i never met the ones who broke me.

Tunisia - a country to die for (1)

In Switzerland, gas comes through walls. In Tunisia, it comes through people. My gas line is currently held together by optimism and plastic tape. I should probably introduce myself before I continue talking about near-death experiences. I’m Swiss. Born and raised in a country where… read more

Terribly British!

Its still summer, we are told, but it's wet and rather chilly this morning. Had a new boiler put in early summer and decided to check it for the heating last week as it was a little chilly then to only to find it not working. Messaged engineer (ex husband), who put it in and he gave a vague idea… read more

More demo writing today...

Today has been tough, I sat in front of my computer ready to write things, as my boiler was being changed and truthfully, it was a frustrating experience. However, something did eventually develop thanks to my vocalist, when I sent her a demo today she got back to me about five mins later with one… read more

Tall tales

Any of you ttrpg enthusiasts have some fun stories you want to share? Any system, funny crazy, or heart wrenching. I'll start! I had one of my players use Bandit (their kleptomaniac, left boot obsessed, racoon familure) as a periscope to check around a blind corner in a basement only to have the… read more

Finally distilling my 1st whiskey run

I have about 7L left to distill after running the 30L in the bigger boiler. Had to improvise a bit to get the jar up high enough.

Never knew that the water boiler could be opened

The mystery of why my soups had Chinese characters has been solved and the instruction manual in Mandarin came with a little bag of Chinese tea hidden inside. Now I just have to decipher the text to avoid further surprises.

Using water boiler intended for the Chinese mainland

Can handle the Chinese language in the menus, but how do you fish out the plastic flakes with serial numbers from the water boiler before the water gets cold? Should one prepare a filter before pouring? I always have to heat the water again in the microwave oven.

Frankenstein Liquor

I saved up the tails and bottoms of the bottles for the last 6 months and added some vodka to make a reasonable run. I put 2 orages & 1 lime in the boiler and peals in the gin basket. I got a strong orange liquor at 75% ABV 😱😁

1st stripping run

I finally started the 1st of 2 stripping runs for the 38L of wash that finally fermented out to 16.2% ABV. So far I have just over 1 Gal. at 65% ABV. I would be higher but as the alcohol depletes in the boiler the output ABV drops off..and it dilutes what it gets mixed with in the big collection… read more
