Who else fills Sunday to the brim?

Only full day off every week is Sunday and I try to do an impossible amount of stuff. Trying to finish my floors and this painting today. And mow the grass :/ What are you doing today?

March of the dinosaurs 🦖🦕

Me and the other IT guy with our buddy from Clinical Engineering ran around the hospital playing the theme to Jurassic Park and wishing staff and patients a Happy Halloween. It was a great time! We got to make a lot of people laugh and smile even on patient floors and the ED. We got to bring a… read more

A blueprint of Tuesdays

The future we built was a house made of light, A blueprint of Tuesdays, of holding the night, Where I was a fixture, a branch on the tree, Beside your own mother, where your daughter met me. I had a seat at the table, a place in the hall, And in less than an hour, no shelter at all. This is the… read more

Distract and Impose External Frameworks

Architecture behind the box stage 2 This approach played a key role in the partitioning of the Middle East following the world war. Once a society is divided, it becomes easy to control—provided its attention is diverted from its own internal problems toward artificial "rules of the… read more

I was not prepared for how addicted I'd get to this game

Wizardry Variants: Daphne has been my primary focus for most of the past two weeks. And it's been kicking my butt the entire time. It took me like five days just to clear the first dungeon. It's eight floors. It's also got the harriest dwarves I've ever seen. (edited)

Homeland's history ̀in connection with the neighboring country

It's always interesting to see a connection to the neighboring country in the hometown, because 3 years and the hometown celebrates the 800th anniversary. Throughout history, my home country has been part of two different empires (the Kingdom of Sweden and the Russian Empire), the longer period of… read more

My first homade guitar amp!

So I am the agnostic guy that spends about half the week in church. Why? Well because I fix things in the church. Not just one Church. Pretty much all the churches around St Louis! And they're nice people. Even if I'm going to go to hell there pretty cool about it. LOL. And I often get little trade… read more

I'm now convinced that cleanliness in a grocery store is a cultural thing.

I came to that store (in Riga) this past Tuesday at around 2 p.m. and the floor tiles near the fruits and veggies were clean. For reference at about the same time in the same chain's Lithuanian store it would've looked like a fruit/veggie massacre had happened. Also a point is that those tiles are… (edited) read more

Guys is it normal for coworkers to casually talk about setting eachother up for dates? Like ik the building has 7 floors of people but maybe date from outside the facility? Seems more right to me

Every f**king time

2 floors up, 2 closed doors between us. I make the slightest movement to unwrap any kind of food. 2 seconds later: Every single time. I’ve taken to just rustling empty sweet wrappers to piss her off. Nope. Her enthusiasm for food cannot be sated by any form of disappointment.

Time and money...

Would it be a reasonable treat to get coffee and a burrito or something to eat in the morning? My days feel longer when I get warmed up at work and then sweep the floors 5x a day cause we're on standby by lol. I havent had a sore all day feeling and my back isnt pissed at me. The Unraveling of the Macabre Manor

As I approached the desolate Macabre Manor, a sense of foreboding gripped my heart. It had been years since I had last visited my childhood friend, Victor Macabre. We had grown up together, exploring the woods and playing in the eerie shadow of his family's ancestral home. Now, I had received a… read more

When I saw the Golden Teddy at Dubai Mall - Photography

Before the rush of footsteps, before the music and conversations blend into a single hum, the mall breathes quietly—light filtering through glass ceilings, marble floors still cool and untouched. It was during one of these rare, quiet mornings that the golden teddy bear appeared. Just a teddy… read more

Lightning

I just realized the downside of living in the upper floors of the building. *lies flat on the bed and pretends to be dead*

This time managed to capture my birth givers cat's walk in the communal space between the flat building floors.

My birth giver is an oldest unloved offspring of a narcissist and an enabler, and the other two siblings are a classic example of that toxic dynamic (middle sister the forgotten one, youngest brother - the golden). So considering all that she has a bit of an excessive paranoia when it comes to the… read more

Reminders of a Life That Shattered

There are still two lives in this house. You can tell by the things that have no reason to be where they are anymore— the small possessions left in drawers, the familiar shapes taking up their old spaces, the things I would never have chosen but learned to walk around without seeing. A whole… read more

When a society is already divided, it is easily controlled by distracting it from real issues and imposing artificial rules of the game—frameworks that benefit those at the helm.

The history of the Middle East in the early 20th century offers a striking example of how this works on a global scale. Two figures—Thomas Edward Lawrence (better known as Lawrence of Arabia, 1888–1935) and Gertrude Bell (1868–1926), British officers, archaeologists, and diplomats—gave everything… read more
