Greg Moore Bio
Greg Moore was a legendary figure in the world of motorsports in Canada. Born on April 22, 1975, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Moore's passion and talent for racing skyrocketed him to fame at a young age. With a natural ability behind the wheel and a charismatic personality, he quickly became a beloved figure not only in Canada but also on the international racing scene.
Moore's racing career began at the tender age of six when he started racing go-karts. It was evident from the start that he had a remarkable talent for the sport, winning several championships and catching the attention of industry professionals. As he progressed through the ranks, Moore's skill and determination allowed him to become one of the most promising young drivers in Canadian history.
In 1993, at just 18 years old, Moore made his debut in the Indy Lights series, the second-tier open-wheel racing championship. He impressed everyone with his speed, technique, and intense focus on the track, securing multiple victories and earning the championship title in 1995. His success caught the eye of team owners in the prestigious CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) series, leading to his promotion to the top level of North American open-wheel racing for the 1996 season.
Moore's impact on the CART series was immediate. He earned his first pole position in his rookie year and continued to impress with his aggressive yet calculated driving style. Throughout his career, Moore competed in 72 races and achieved five victories, 14 podium finishes, and 12 pole positions. Greg Moore's passion for racing and his skill on the track made him a Canadian icon and a deeply admired figure worldwide. His talent, combined with his infectious personality, left an indelible mark on the motorsports community.
