I haven’t been active on here for the majority of the week because my son was extremely ill, was hospitalized for 2 days in an ER clinic due to GI stasis and a horrible infection. His tummy was filled with stomach bile/fluids because his GI track stopped working due to the antibiotics overdriving his gut! 😭 
7000 dollars later, he’s back to normal, happy and healthy and back home with mom and dad 💕

Scientists found that narrowing your #eyes and slow blinking encourages cats to approach you. A Professor of Animal Behavior and Cognition at Sussex, noted that this expression is a way for humans and cats to connect.

Experiments

Two experiments showed that cats respond positively to humans who slow-blink. In the first, cat owners blinked at their #pets, resulting in cats blinking back. In the second, researchers found that unfamiliar cats also responded to slow-blinking and approached extended hands afterward.

Building Relationships

This study highlights how slow blinking can strengthen bonds between humans and cats. While #dogs are openly affectionate, cats are more discerning and reflect their owners' personalities. They recognize their names and form strong connections.
