Does anyone know the psychology behind humans fearing insects although logically we are much bigger and more powerful ??

Like seeing a coakroach would literally ruin my whole day , its scary , disghusting and you cant know its next move .. but the other day i was thinking : why? Like why we usually dont fear cats or dogs but we fear insects which are way smaller

Cats be testing your patience one is scratching and trying to get into the box in the cupboard the other one is going feral and attacking the invisible insects on the floor . While asleep 😴😵‍💫. Let's just say my cats are now permanent banned from sleeping with me .

supposedly has only reached about 1/4 of his final form. chewies are insane growers, cause they just eat sm and apparently have 2 stomachs for diet & insects. can't believe he's still technically a baby

It appears to be a Cross Orb Weaver. It made its net(s) at a highly trafficked bridge. Plenty nocturnal insects seek light sources/have the moon as light source as a navigation reference and get confused by modern light sources.
