Saw this cute butterfly 💛

At a pool over the summer, this lovely little being landed on my collar bone. Managed to coax it onto my hand where it seemingly leeched the sodium off my sweat ridden skin. I had to look this up, it’s called “puddling” and they do it to get the salt and minerals out of our sweat, or out of mud puddles. It wandered around on my hand/arm for 15 minutes and then took its leave. 🖤

Children at summer camp found a butterfly – a female lime hawk moth laying eggs. I took her from them and carried her to a pine tree. She continued laying eggs under the tree bark. And then a male flew to her! He didn’t wait for me to finish photographing her. Beetles of this species do not have a developed proboscis. Therefore, they do not feed, and have a very developed sense of smell (especially the males). Imagoes live for about a week, so they can fly as much as they want, find a mate (males can smell a female tens of kilometers away!), reproduce, and die of starvation. These particular butterflies will die happy. 
P.S. When I accidentally hit the female with the leg of the tripod while photographing, she made a loud, disgruntled creaking sound. Scared me! Beauties!

夏令营的孩子们发现了一只蝴蝶——一只正在产卵的雌性椴树天蛾（Mimas tiliae (L, 1758)）。我从孩子们手中接过蝴蝶，把它带到一棵松树上。它继续在树皮下产卵。这时，一只雄蛾飞了过来！它甚至没等我拍完照就飞了过来。这种甲虫没有发达的喙，因此它们不进食，但嗅觉非常灵敏（尤其是雄蛾）。成虫的寿命大约一周，所以它们可以尽情飞行，寻找配偶（雄蛾能闻到几十公里外雌蛾的气味！），繁殖后代，然后饿死。这些蝴蝶死得其所。附：拍照时，我不小心用三脚架的腿碰到了雌蛾，它发出了一声响亮而不满的嘎吱声。吓了我一跳！真是美丽的蝴蝶！
Mimas tiliae (L, 1758) Дети в летнем лагере нашли бабочку -- самку липового бражника, кладущую яйца. Отобрал её у них, отнёс на сосну. Она продолжила класть яйца под кору дерева. И тут к ней прилетел самец! Он не стал дожидаться конца моей фотосъёмки. У бвбочек этого вида хоботок не развит. Поэтому они не питаются, и имеют очень развитое обоняние (особенно самцы). Имаго живут около недели, чтобы полетать вдоволь, найти пару (самцы могут учуять самку за десятки километров!), продолжить род, и умереть голодной смертью. Конкретно эти бабочки будут умирать счастливыми. 
P.S. Когда при съёмке я случайно задел самку ногой штатива, она издала громкмй недовольный скрипучий звук. Напугала меня) Красавцы!
