No, it's not an alien

It's not an alien. It's the under side of an Australian bush cricket (Similar to a grasshopper). This is the 1st one I've seen here...It's more common for me to see other green bugs like prey mantis or Goliath stick insects. Anyway I thought to share something unique (edited)

Hop to It

One of my favorite plants- Jewelweed. Happy bright flowers, and the key ingredient I use to make a summertime salve for poison ivy, bug bites, general skin irritations. This little slipper shaped bloom had a rider, a tiny grasshopper 😆
