I went out and got a pair of budgies for my birthday 🎂  it hasn't even been a week and im so happy with my boys and their silly personalities that are coming out. Their names are Squishy and Gazpacho 🦜🦜

Peekaboooo

In my garden, sitting on a branch when it was snowing.  Very simple setup for this picture. I got a large branch from a tree, placed it on top of my wooden bird feeder, placed lots of seeds behind the branch that you can't see, and the background colours come from my fence, an eucalyptus bush and some bamboo.  While it was a setup, the birds do naturally come into my garden, and I had to wait in the cold and snow for about 45 minutes!

Someone wanted to help with the dishes

Came across this Thursday afternoon on my hike at Parnell Tower. A recent kill. No foot prints- two or four legged. Just lines in the snow. Wing prints. By the looks of things I must have scared a red tail hawk away from its recent kill with my approach. Bad day for that squirrel. Nature in action.
