Couldnt get the love of his life Couldnt helped his friend to redeem himself Couldnt become the hokage Couldnt save the village from Pain But the Character holds the power to change the fate of Humanity. Hence, He may not be the king but was definitely a king maker.

It’s not that he couldn’t become the hokage, it’s that he turned down the opportunity because it didn’t really fit with his preferred lifestyle. The rest is true though. Jiraiya was a real one, RIP.

He knew his worth and skills were best put elsewhere and wanted to continue his freedom he would of lost as Hokage. Some characters make the best supporting roles over being a main character and he was one of them. Wise. Strong. Knowledgeable. In the end while he couldn't stop Pain, he did something not everyone could do. Never give up. To the very painful end he never gave up. And he left behind a legacy for people to strive for. I still cry at his death. R.I.P.
