Youtube channels for archaeology
Have to admit that I have been enjoying the "World of Antiquity" youtube channel for general discussion on archaeology and early human civilizations. His responses to non-research based archeology videos highlights their errors in an understandable way, and the topics covered work for this interested layman. Anyone else have recommendations? Earliest cities known: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aE9uz4VTnmM Why he sees no reason to believe in lost advanced civilizations: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BHeflRtrYUk

Yea he’s good, but he still has no way of explaining how the “inca” built the walls of sacsayhuaman. So his skepticism of advanced ancient civilizations isn’t all that profound. You can’t explain machu pichu either. But he also admitted there was a 9000bc hippocaust built in Anatolia, which is indeed advanced. And greatly predates the theory of it being a Roman invention.

Imagine uncovering an ancient artifact—a simple clay pot, perhaps. It seems mundane at first glance, yet within its humble exterior lies a portal to another era, offering glimpses into the daily lives, beliefs, and traditions of a civilization long gone. Every crack, every inscription tells a... read more
