I usually paint geometric abstractions at 100×100 px, but this is my first piece on a physical canvas 80×80 cm, acrylic. Planning to sell it. Wish me luck!

My First Physical Artwork

I need a drawing from a scene from my book that I'm writing. It's one of the most depressing ones.

The character is named Donovan "Meathook" Whitaker but his calling card was "Yellow" because everyone thought he was scared of war. He gets Meathook after witnessing a tragic event and his BCI (Brain Computer Interface) told him to betray his identity and take on a new one. 

Donovan is 6'5ft and he has bleeding edge technology with four arms. I'm not gonna spoil how he got them because it's kinda dark. Anyway, he's crouching on a edge of a building smoking an Cuban cigar in the pouring rain. The droplets splash on his shoulder armor with red coloring because everything is red including the retractable wings that are extended from his jetpack. The jetpack is mounted via a exo-skeleton and his helmet is also red and militarized with a gas mask but in the scene he's holding said gas mask. Donovan is bearded with mixed skin from Lumbee, Indian, Russian and Cuban nationalities with pricing cat-like ice blue irises and he's masculine in the face. The nose is perfect and a stern & aggressive looking face. He's not very buff. With a physique of a lean-buff body. The gun on his chest rig is the Galil but as an more futuristic version but as an OICW with multiple attachments. 

The genre of my story is splatterpunk, psychological horror, reverse horror, erotica, and speculative military fiction. I choose erotica to add realism and build emotional depth to my character.

The process for the contest

You never know who you are, until you face the fire.

A life on the line, another reason to fight, I'll wipe out the enemy, my star won't be falling tonight.
If I was a superhero, I'll pick you up off the ground, change the way you've hurt for so long, help is inbound.

This is just a quick rough sketch that I'll clean up later. Preparing for some tough scenes of guardian angel, Evangelion, facing demons Libidine & Demissio. 😪 They'll be taxing to sketch emotionally, but also want to push myself. When I was a child, I went through many horrific circumstances. I used to comfort myself thinking an angel was looking out for me and saving me through every close call. That became the premise of my first novel... and now I'm working hard to adapt it into a webtoon series! 😮 Do you read webtoons? If so, which ones?
