Definitely not a typo. 🙋‍♂️kicking off summer with this entry to a contest. Took inspiration from the Badjao tribe of the Philippines and my first time scuba diving in Fiji when I met a friendly octopus way back when. As usual, the original character is unnamed. 🤣Hope you enjoy the scenery.

An illustration inspired by autumn that I did a month ago.

Autumn

You know how most people in dreams don't have faces?
But others, like him, have appeared in multiple dreams (and I recognize them). 
I woke up and began sketching immediately. Wrote down as much as I could remember before it fade away. 
Will he visit again?

Also, this is the first time I use chalk pastels. What a wonder!! I seal every layer with hairspray 🤣 it's like Ctrl+S in real life!
Personally, would you pay for a portrait like this? It's so sad how art now just became and instant thing, without soul. Made quickly, to be admired for a couple of seconds and then thrown away. Like nowadays music, movies, and even relationships.

In the living world, she’s just a shadow. A flicker behind the glass. The kind you hope is just a trick of the light.

But in the quiet between heartbeats…she lingers.
Leaving messages no one alive will ever read. (It’s called haunting for them. We of the living call it ghosting…lol)

The afterlife is full of secrets. And today’s Slice of Afterlife shows us a simple one: Even ghosts can still feel love! They’re…just terrible at sending messages…
