Casually learn a language

I'm interested in learning japanese but im more the type to learn through watching animes, listening musics & speaking with AI (it replies in japanese) rather than taking classes because its more fun 😁 so far i can somehow understand the animes i watch without subtitles, but to be able to have a conversation, there is a long way to go 😆 how about you guys? what language are you trying to learn? is it hard? and how do you practice?
