Hey, the US is also the creator of Moonshine and have a problem with excess so it's no wonder we have so many Urban Legends 😂

Gloucester Ghoul: a giant bat with ram horns, said to wander the Rhode Island/Massachusetts border Jersey Devil: another crytid of similar description, believed to live in New Jersey. Both sides of the American revolution reported having fired at it to no effect. Goody Bassett's house: a woman was executed in a Connecticut witch trial, circa 1710's. Her home is still rumored to be haunted. Block Island creature: the skeleton of giant serpent-like creature was hauled up by a fishing boat in the 1980's, and had been on display at a museum. It vanished in the early 2000's with no apparent explanation, and no signs of theft. (edited)

Oh, I have more! Not Deer: there's an SCP based on this one. Aliens/some other cryptids can disguise themselves as deer. You can tell the fakes from their behavior (carnivorous diet, walking on two legs, strange contortions, etc.) but if you acknowledge it in any way, they will hunt down and kil you. Route 4 hitchhiker: I could be wrong about the exact road (I don't take route 4 much) but there's supposedly a hitchhiker around my neck of the woods in Rhode Island where if you pick him up, some horrible fate will fall upon you, and even if you don't and the back seat of your car is empty, he'll just materialize there anyway, before vanishing with a maniacal laugh. UFO stories: especially from military. UFO's are most assuredly real (even though I don't think they're extraterrestrial) and many veterans, especially air force, navy, and coast guard, have stories
