The downside of sitting so close was the strings section was blocking the view of the vocalists and the person playing the Irish tin whistle 😭 but apart from that it was an awesome experience!

LotR in Concert = phenomenal!

A 12-hour cozy marathon of the The Lord of the Rings Extended Editions, start to finish, like one giant super-film.

We’re wrapped in warm blankets like hobbits in hiding. Popcorn everywhere. Tea, coffee, soda out the rear.

We quote lines, talk about funny BTS facts, laugh at the same moments, and slowly sit closer as the journey unfolds.

Because somewhere between the Shire and Mordor, we’re building a bond that feels a lot like Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee.

Just us.
One couch.
The greatest story ever told.

Hi everyone, first post... Any LOTR fans on here?  I'm really excited that for the 25 year anniversary, they are re-releasing the Extended versions of LOTR. I'm curious if anyone here knows if any theatre in California and Nevada is potentially showing them as a marathon? All my research so far shows that they are showing on separate days... Any info would be great.

For everyone I fully recommend checking out whether your local cinemas do anniversary screenings of lotr. I was lucky enough to experience all 3 movies extended versions across 3 days in cinema, and with a bit of surprise from Peter Jackson himself. As someone who never got to see these movies in cinema before, this was absolutely amazing!
