I was offline for a total of two days. And while I was completely cut off from the internet during that time, I explored a topic that I initially thought would be far less interesting than it turned out to be: "competition." The deeper I delved into the subject, the clearer it became:… read more

Note: I have nothing against AI. It’s a good tool. But it’s not near the level everyone thinks it is, especially not to “let it do whatever” yet. (edited)
I have been daily driving Linux for years at this point (a bit before Windows 11 got released). Recently one buddy of mine showed me his work laptop. He opened notepad and showed me that he has Copilot there too. Me : "WTF? Copilot in Notepad? What is it suppose to do?" Him: "IDK, just hogging… (edited) read more

In light of Sony and Microsoft moving towards an all digital future (which I don't want anything to do with) I went back to playing some of my retro collection. I recently bought some clone systems to play some of my older games in HD. They are so beautiful. And if you were wondering, yes I… read more

Deep into Microsoft Fabric training today 😄 What are you guys learning or working on lately?
I work in IT and an astronaut in space complaining about Microsoft products is too funny to me.
Does anyone else who bought DayZ on discount in the Microsoft store have issues with the microphone? How did you resolve it? And who wants to play?
Notice how many people's jobs are "Virtual Assistant"? The majority of "AI assistants" is just some person. In the Philippines. Probably making less in a year than you do in a month. Yes, even when Microsoft is sitting on more GPUs than they can use. It's still just people.

More like Linux than Microsoft.
Everything is too expensive now. Fewer people can afford a home, or may choose to lease a car rather than buy one. Everything has a subscription service now. You stream movies, music, video games, books more than ever, rather than own physical media. I had to update my resume the other day… I… read more
Next thing you know you'll be at a “Call of Duty” tourney… in the cloud. More and more people are buying their games digitally. Game companies like Xbox and Playstation are offering digital only consoles. Game developers may have a physical release for a game but you would have to partially or fully download the game to even play it. Microsoft, PS, and Nintendo all… read more

I prefer physical games on console always have, digital games in my experience on console take up much storage and seemingly takes longer to download. On PC I don't mind downloading games on steam but I trust steam way more than I would playstation or microsoft. What do you think?
