I am proud of things I've gained in my life from hard work, sacrifices, and not giving up. It may be personal development, relationships, or material resources. I think the word pride gets misused in today's world. Should we be proud or have pride in having a certain pigment of skin or having a specific sexual orientation? I don't think we use the word correctly in those regards.
