Toffee apple cake

This cake was one of my best tasting cakes I’ve made. Will definitely be making again, and potentially, not sharing it with anyone mwahahahahah

Question

So does anyone else 'baking projects' taste like a burnt salty taste? When ever I try to bake from scratch (or close to it), it almost always turns out tasting this way. Would anyone know why this is? (edited)

I'm pretty angry because of a living breathing trigger of mine.

This is how I distract myself and I'm also going to use that energy drink power nap which actually kind of works. 1. Wild berries

It’s currently wild berry season in the UK, and the hedgerows are brimming with ripe fruit. I particularly enjoy picking a few berries while out walking there’s something uniquely delightful about tasting their fresh, naturally sweet flavour straight from the bush.

Things I haven’t been able to do since you broke my heart:
