Testudo hermanni:

are relatively easy as far as tortoises go, and suited to keeping in cooler climates where outdoor keeping might not always be possible. A UVB bulb is also needed to help process/create vitamin "D3". In size tortoises are small to medium-sized from southern Europe. We call them "the greeks", since i bought Toby atleast 200 €, when he was 3 weeks old. (See the pic :D)
However, this specie belongs the lowest vurnable cathegory in the Red book list 3, so it influences the import/export alot. Certain foods may prove toxic despite they do eat these - legumes, tomatoes and cabbage ... Even pre-prepeared pellets are needed to be careful with. 
Since autumn is here, Toby eats leaves and grass like a lawnmower despite it being so little for us.

Emys orbicularis: aka european pond turtle - found in southern, central, and eastern Europe, west Asia and parts of Mediterranean north Africa. But the most northern range to live in the wild, is Baltic States the most upper country. Last seen in the wild, was during ww1. During the soviet years, owners released a population to the southern and northern parts of Estonia. Since the population is so small, they will not fit in the "red book" of endangered species, but are kept an eye open by scientists.
This specie is praised to be extremely smart, since they're so full of wholesome personality, as they form strong bonds with their owners. 
They're very active and love a tank with both shallow and deep water ( with accessible basking spot of course ) uvb lights are a must as they're very dependant on it + this specie is omnivore, but lean towards 75% vegetables and 25% protein ( pellets, feeder fish, ants, crickets and worms). Lehte likes leaves and fruits, we even share peanuts.
