No pain no gain!

I thought why the hell not attempt 25kg? As long as I hold the stretch without jerking, my tendonitis will improve! I was disappointed with the first set only giving a triple but I had to listen to the pain to avoid injury risk. Subsequent sets became easier, decreasing the pain.

But it's only my right elbow that has pain, the left has no more pain! 😍

Workout today

What do you think? (edited)

1 hr 25 min DB-centric lift sesh lower body primaries w bi & tri supers. Hit 6 new PRs. 14,482# total volume lifted plus bw warm ups, core work and tricep bench dips. Progressive overload training FTW Not bad for a #travelworkout away from my primary home gym. (edited)

I dunno why I was feeling tired today because not only did I fail at 40kg, but the same workout I felt good last time, felt tiring today 😞

Finally my right is back. Maybe next time I'll hit 4 reps a set. My left is painful but recovery is a long process.

Tb to 150lb each hand

I'm so surprised I could even load my calf muscle let alone work all the way up to -200kg below PR🏆 and -100kg below volume weight😱

I should be grateful I can train core but I'm so lightheaded...

5d

My left shoulder suddenly gave out on the last set so I decided to practice the barbell version with lightweight to get used to the stabilisation. My flexor carpi radialis tear was too painful and scary when going to 80kg. I decided to play it safe.

New weights!

My new weights came.

My wrist extensors are getting stronger 💪! I need to be careful because my wrist extensors are still quite weak and have tendon synovitis. Lucky I enrolled in a clinical trial for the participation of the medial nerve in the pain.

1000 Pound Club

I finally made it into the 1000 Pound Club with a squat PR of 300 pounds! Squat: 300 Bench: 250 Deadlift: 455 Total: 1005

I gotta start being careful taking the slack from the bar so my brachioradialis is safe.

I'm grateful that my injured left doesn't affect exercises where i need to brace like today. I'm also surprised today felt so easy because I've been feeling DOMS-like sensation for 15d...

I should be grateful that I can squat with a torn calf muscle instead of being disappointed failing a 127.5kg PR attempt.

I burnt some energy first with weight, then tried the very exercise again that lacerated my thumb 😱 this time I'm smart enough to use a light weight to practice the neuromuscular balance component.

No wonder I lacerated my thumb in June, my partially torn left flexor carpi radialis from April is still weak and painful.

Just gonna show my 400ib deadlift pr

I have failed a lot of times trying to achieve this. It’s ok to fail.

I really should have attempted 75kg isotonic instead of eccentric because my right leg felt strong after training eccentrics at 75kg twice already. The DOMS was so bad those times but now I don't even feel it. Unluckily my left calf injury really bothered me beyond 90 degrees...

I mean he tried

26d

14th Apr left wrist flexor partially torn. 24th Apr started chest and shoulder rehab. 14th Jun right thumb laceration. 28th Jun left wrist tear worsening. 30th Jul orthopaedic follow-up.

Maybe I should continue rehabbing on the chest press but add weight rather than change to barbell bench press since both my wrist and thumb aren't ready...

28d

Maybe it's time to challenge 40kg since 4 reps take 30s because of holding the concentric contraction?

16d

Triceps feeling good today. Performance could be better but my right elbow still has some soreness. My left was feeling good but I had to use more time to get used to and control the weight, so ran out of energy at 8 reps.

I really want to transition to barbell shoulder press; but my left wrist that jeopardised my right thumb laceration is still injured 🥲

My lower back is always exhausted from RDLs so I thought I need to start training core and abs.

Slowly but surely

Week seven after a two year hiatus, worked through soreness, quit vaping and binge drinking, and I’m feeling strong again. Hoping to stay consistent this time.
