I'm not sure where this fear stemmed from- my first real memory of being terrified of werewolves and wolves in general was when I was 3. My mother was reading me a Donald Duck cartoon book and a wolf stalked Donald in the forest with gold glowing eyes. 

From then on I was irrationally terrified and had nightmares about them until I was maybe 12. 

At first I'd hide from the wolf in forests and abandoned cabins and cry- it'd  always find me and tare me to shreds. Then as I got older, I started to run- I'd sometimes escape or fly away. 

Eventually I reached a point (maybe age 8) where I'd find a knife and I'd actually confront and kill the wolf. It wasn't till age 12 that I'd either consistently kill or even miraculously befriend the wolf. After that, the fear went away. 

But I wonder what the wolf represented. Maybe I'm afraid of my own uncontrollable anger in a heated argument? 🐺 

Or maybe I was afraid of a stronger power than me, someone I'd grown to obey, love and respect who was normally good but eventually transformed into an uncontrollable monster prone to spontaneous fits of blacked out rage.

Of course I didn't meet that version of the man I loved till I was 13. At that point, the horrifying nightmares of the werewolf had completely stopped, free from the cage of my mind and finally materializing into reality. 

Alcohol and opiods can turn the kindest of people into terrifying, savage beasts.

Heyy ..did anyone had a encounter or is awere of dogmans?

I'm curious to know if anyone has had any werewolf transformation fantasies. I've had them since I was little but I'm not sure why. Maybe I like the concept of transforming into a werewolf?? Hmmm, something to contemplate for later. But for now, I'm curious.
