Hi mate, it depends on what sort of thing you want to watch really, if you want something action based, relatively modern and very entertaining, I recommend Chainsaw Man If you want to join the degenerates like me and give yourself in to romance anime, i recommend starting with My Love Story With Yamada-Kun at lv 999, it’s relatively light hearted and a bit of fun, also not over the top cringey like most other romcoms If you want an amazing story with great characters and also amazing artwork, a personal favourite is Freiran at the moment. I know a big list doesn’t really help but I think you have to start with something you want to watch rather that “this anime is popular, watch this” If you’re after something else however, let me know!
