BEYOND THE HIDDEN BLADE

What if we stopped looking at Assassin’s Creed as a story — and started examining it as a study of systems? (For those who new, open the comments for sequence) The Assassins and the Templars are more than two opposing factions. They represent different approaches to power, order, freedom, and… read more

One wiper blade

Is it safe? Internet says its legal but I'm not sure if one will do the job.... my bf removed the other one to order a new one due to the one he removed being bent inwards and scraped at my windshield to where it cut a groove smh

Rate my writing. I didn't use AI to proofread to correct my grammar coz I don't know what prompt to use without it altering the story.

Training arc: Seldex X Dhuurak and Flo. Seldex had an hour to train Flo after he had obtained permission from the high matron priestess. He led Flo with Dhuurak closely behind to a training ground. He taught the drow fighting stance. All visual and hands on. Seldex placed his hands on Flo's… read more

Question of the day

If you could give any inanimate object the ability to speak once before it broke forever, what would you choose, and what would you ask it? My answer I’d pick a recently used weapon, maybe a gun or a blade, and ask it: “What is your purpose? And did you enjoy how you’ve been used so far?”

Hmm

So like 100's of thousands others I picked up "The witcher 3 remastered at release. I’ve heard playing on 'Death march' (hardest) difficulty is recommended because "you'll feel like a witcher". Well with the re-release there was an option to apply blade oils automatically to avoid menus. Turns… read more

The Raven and the Flame-Bride

They whisper of a girl who danced through fire, a flame-bride not meant for Midgard’s chains. She laughed in the hall of echoes, with embers braided in her hair. They say she walked where Valkyries feared to tread, not born of blood, but of light and ruin. A spark the gods mistook for mortal —… read more

Material

I don’t need the fire to mean anything while it burns. I don’t need the hand that hurt me to have had a purpose. Some things are just cruel. Some losses are just losses. But when the smoke clears, I go looking through the wreckage. Not for forgiveness. For material. I take what cut me… read more

Film #146 Blade Runner 2049

Science Fiction Only a talented director like Villeneuve could have pulled it off and thank god it wasn't Nolan. The mustard tint, Zimmer almost matching Vangelis's haunting score, great cinematography, and intense Gosling. Only weak points: Slightly illogical story, Leto and Luv. Could have found… (edited) read more

Blade (1998) 💀

Armor

"To live is to suffer. To drink of calamity. It is a perilous path. Death lurks in the dark. Do not avert your eyes. See your life for what it is. See how the hardships make you strong. Every doubt reforged as scales for your armor. Every agony to temper your blade."

Now Rewatching : "Blade Runner 2049" (2017)

This reminds me I wanted to speak on Parodies and Spoilers. You know what the sad thing is about the best movies or books.. (sad to me at least): - There is, almost always, a guarantee that it will be spoilt in some sort of parody or hommage. 80% of the time by the Simpsons 👀🤣 but this one was… read more

Film #145 Blade Runner (1982)

Science Fiction Film Film industry's heartthrob Harrison, Vangelis's score, Synth music, Ridely Scott in his prime, and the society on the cusp of major technological changes... What could go wrong! Great film having one of the best rain scene with one of the best monologue My Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Something to think about...

You are in Star Wars universe now. Light Side or Dark side? Force Sensitive or Not Force Sensitive? If Force Sensitive, (and hopefully a lightsaber wielder) what color and would you be a single blade, double as in one in each hand, or the double saber? Or some other exotic force weapon? If… read more

After The Severed Jugular

A cat that kills is no different from a cat that apologizes after cutting your jugular. An apology after the wound doesn’t make it hurt less. It’s just a blade, with a sorry note taped to the hilt. It can't be undone, even by want, even by desperation, even by the victims forgiveness.
