Being rational and having good ethics isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you can develop by being aware and putting in the effort.

It’s true. I love animals more than people. Immanuel Kant: In his Lectures on Ethics (published long after his death), Kant wrote, "He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."
